- New Zealand – available as a prescription medicine under specialist supervision.
- Canada – restricted, with limited access through specific channels.
- Several other countries where ibogaine is unscheduled rather than approved, which is not the same as regulated.
Unscheduled and regulated are worth separating. A country where ibogaine simply is not mentioned in law offers no oversight at all. Licensed and supervised is the standard worth insisting on.
